1. Johnny Burkhart
Known more correctly as John Burkhart. John became a Knightmare fan while living in Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire in the late '80s and watching Series 1 and 2. He started a Knightmare website, regarded as the first, in 1997 and maintained it until 1999. (See: The Homepage of Knightmare.)

In on 5 February 1999, John, based in Chicago, signed the knightmare.clara.net guestbook:

'All right! I'm not the only one any more! This is John Burkhart, the original Knightmare page on the net. I'm glad to see someone who's a bit more local to the greatest show of all time on the net ;)'

Since then, John has reduced his presence within the Knightmare fan community but maintains connections via social media.

John's contribution to Knightmare's online fandom was valuable and this author finds it unnecessary to cast subjective aspersions on his personality.

In common with other Knightmare fans, John enjoys writing. His stories include a fantasy novel, Redeemer's Oath, and fanfics. He has described himself as having a 'great proclivity for crossover fictions, as I find it a great challenge to keep two sets of characters in character while having them deal with one, or both, different environments.'

2. Johnny Burkhart
A young American who started The Homepage of Knightmare because there were no other Knightmare websites available on the internet. It was advertised in the last paper issue of TES.

He was one of the first few people in the online Knightmare scene, along with Illusion, Pooka, Alan Boyd and Paul McIntosh.

John helped out a little with the Series 2 section of knightmare.clara.net, then vanished in 1999 and has rarely been heard from again.
